Outage of Elastic Tape and NLA all day on Tuesday, 30th April
Posted by: CEDA Helpdesk 1 month ago
To allow the database behind CASTOR (the system that sits in front of the tape drives) to have its hardware upgraded, these systems will be unavailable from 08:00 to approximately 16:00 on Tuesday, 30th April.
The systems will be unavailable for ingestion and retrieval during this period. On-going ingestions will be suspended to be continued later, but retrievals are more likely to be terminated at 08:00.
In the unlikely event that the changes fail and a reversion is needed, it may be necessary to reingest data sent to tape. This means that ET users should not delete data from disc until the upgrade is announced as complete and successful.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
